About Us

Rangia Teacher Training College was established in 1987 on the 1st day of June. It is located at the centre of Rangia Town (5 no. ward), 50 kms. away from Guwahati, the capital city of Assam.Rangia Teacher Training College is a self-financed co-educational institution. This college is recognised by ERC, NCTE(http://www.ncte-in.org/), Bhubaneswar, Orissa and affiliated to Gauhati University, Jalukbari, Guwahati-781014, District: Kamrup(Assam).

Rangia is the subdivisional headquarter of Rangia Subdivision under the district of Kamrup(rural). National Highway No. 31 has divided the town into two halves. Rangia is also a junction of North-east Frontier Railway along with its Divisional Headquarter. The town has 36 secondary educational institutions of Assamese, English, Hindi, Bodo and Bengali medium. Apart from Rangia Teacher Training College it has three more colleges-Rangia College, M.S. Girls' College and Arabic College.
Land & Building

The institution has its own land and building. The total land area is 10702.08 sq. metres which was alloted to Rangia T. T. College by the Govt. of Assam in 1991 vide Deputy commissioner, Kamrup's letter no. KRS.13/90/28A dtd. 09.08.91. The college has a U shaped building for curricular transaction along with the Principal's quarter as well as a shed for the night chowkidar in the same campus. The disabled friendly U-shaped building its a big hall can accommodate 200 people, 2 class rooms, one psychology laboratory, one l.T. laboratory, library and reading room, girls' common room, activity room etc., was completed in June 2004. The total covered area in sq. km. is 2443.36.
